remember when you were just a wee little kid, and you imagined yourself in the future?
you imagined what you wanted to be when you grew up,
the house you would live in,
you imagined finding your soul mate and living happily, ever after…
this is the kind of magic that exists between lisa + darren.
brought together by an incredible turn of unfortunate events in both of their lives at the same time,
they now share a love so rare, so raw, and so true.
these two really are meant for each other!
their love story cannot even be justified via text – just imagine crazy, passionate love. soul mates.
lisa + darren are two amazing individuals and we feel very lucky to have them in our life as such good friends.
those of you who know them and their story can really vouch for how this kind of love really is so rare and so precious.

funny thing is, we were actually aiming to do a concept shoot in the pouring rain.
by the time we figured out a plan and i showed up at their place, it was no longer horrendous weather!
the sun came blasting out in it’s full glory, complete with the biggest rainbow i have ever seen just 30 minutes before the shoot
(while i was on my way to their place, i was choked!)
despite getting ridiculously beautiful weather when we specifically requested a storm,
the shoot wound up seriously exceeding my expectations beyond belief!
i swear, lisa + darren must have been spending all their time busting out wicked poses in the mirror before the shoot…
because they had their total A-Game on and BROUGHT IT!
These guys were totally killing it the entire shoot, i just stood around snapping images while they rocked it out!
i think they just need to quit their jobs right now and become superstar models.

i met her roughly 4 years ago, we instantly clicked, and she’s been my hair stylist ever since!
she’s really endured some tough times and absolutely deserves every ounce of happiness.
i’m so happy for her and how her life & future has changed since meeting darren.
darren really is a dream come true for lisa and i have to say, he treats her like gold.
these hotties had no trouble showing a whole lotta love in front of the lens!

i had an absolute blast working with you two,
and seeing your reactions when you saw these images for the first time was a total bonus =)
these two were total troopers throughout this entire session.
most of the shoot consisted of slapping blood sucking mosquitoes every 2.5 seconds,
plus this lounger was soaking wet and they didn’t complain a bit.
